My dear Alys

I quite understand thy not wanting me at Iffley. I waited to answer till I knew definitely about my plans. Next week-end I have Newnham Council, so I can’t come. But if thee will be at Fernhurst, I can come the following week-end so far as I know at present. Shall I try to get Hawtrey to come too? I would rather there was somebody else. I shall be glad to hear anything thee may wish to tell of thy plans. When does thee return to Fernhurst?

Thine aff
