Dearest Alys
Thee was not a nuisance the othera night, and I am sorry if I was unkind. The place seemed so full of people one ought to talk to to fulfil the purpose of the evening, that I was rather affairé. I did not of course know thee had a headache and was worried.
I had already written to Raverat to congratulate him. He goes to Paris the same day I go, so I shall see him there. It is a very pleasing engagement.
We coopted thee onto our Camb. P.S.F. Comee. at our meeting on Monday — I meant to have told thee, but I went out of my mind. I am very glad thee will be on. There will be no work beyond what thee undertakes voluntarily; we shan’t meet more than once a term.
Please send a subscription to W. T. Layton, Milestone, Hills Rd. I gave a guinea. Thee need not give more than a small sum I should think. 1s the minimum (too high, I think, but fixed so in London). Send what thee thinks fit.
See thee tomorrow.
Thine aff
Bertie.
