My dear Colette

Wed. 16th is all right for me. I can leave Penzance 7.40, arriving Exeter 12.10, Bristol 2.1, Bath 2.54. If you don’t dislike the journey to Exeter, we could meet there if you liked, or go on to Blagdon2 either by car or train. Don’t bring your friend from Blagdon: we could hire a car at Exeter if we preferred that to the train. I suppose it would be nicer to come to Blagdon than to stay at Exeter? Next day I should have to leave Bath at 2.2 or Taunton at 4.21 or Exeter at 5.3.

Tell me just what you would like. Where to meet, and whether to come back to Blagdon. I want to see your home, but if you think Exeter better, it might give us more time; otherwise I don’t recommend it.

There is measles in the school,3 but I have had it, so I am not likely to get it again. I am longing to be with you.

B.
