My dearest Darling
Thank you for your lovely little line — it was a joy to see your handwriting once more — I shall bring C.A.3 to Shakuntala4 if he can possibly spare the time, but he is fearfully busy with Herald affairs..5 — I had a German, Dr. Guthmann,6 to tea Sunday — one of the Conference7 people — I enjoyed seeing him. I wish I could get work abroad for Labour — I hanker for the Continent and dread Cambridge8 —
Good luck to you on Friday — Shall I ever see you again? I love you my dear one with all my heart and soul —
