My Darling Love

No telegram has come from you yet and I am afraid my letter yesterday may have bothered you — I do hope not — I got your little line4 this morning with the letter from Clare5 — I will write to her as soon as I have talked to Mrs Watts and Mr Randall6 — It is wet and cold here and if it lasts we shall all get cross — Darling I am longing to be with you — I can’t tell you how difficult it was not simply to say yes to your telegram yesterday7 — I probably should have, only that (very foolishly) I had been a tiny bit hurt by your telling me to come by the later train Sat. It was very silly and didn’t last.

O my Darling I do long for you — All my being reaches out to you, and I can’t bear being away from you when you are troubled. I will keep this till the last moment in hopes of a wire. All my fondest tenderest love, my Darling.

B.

P.O. Telegram just received8 — Will arrive Sat. 1.10. Bless you Darling — All my heart yearns for you.
