My Darling
Owing to its being Monday there is no letter from you today — the only way to make one arrive Monday is to post in the special box inside P.O. — There is no second post now-a-days —
Hayward’s Heath3 is the only place with a late train, and that only on Weds. and Sats. If it is weather like this, I would rather be at Bury Str.4 if you could have me — the country is dreary and wet and cold — Let me know what day you expect me, where, and whether for 2 nights or 3. I don’t care what we do so long as I am with you, Dearest Cherub — 3 nights I can manage — O.5 is going to her brother6 in Westmoreland for a week, and Philip7 is going to Torquay —
I have sent photo to Sassoon,8 and O. has kept one of the others. Do you want the 3 remaining ones returned?
My heart’s Life I long for you.
