My Darling Love

I am very sorry I am not yet well3 enough for the Studio4 tonight, though quite well enough for dinner. I will call for you at 7 as we arranged — but I must get back here. My nights are too painful as yet — and here I have remedies and comforts which get me through them.

I hoped I should have been quite recovered by now, but tho’ I am much better I can’t yet play tricks with myself —

It is a dammed nuisance — and I hate to give in to the body.

Till tonight Dearest —
