My dearest Darling
Thank you for your letter4 — I am much better today5 and shall be completely well tomorrow. I could dine with you tomorrow or Tuesday or Wednesday, and if you can, I could go on to the Studio.6 Tomorrow or Wed. would suit best, but Tuesday would be possible. Would you mind calling me up before 11 tomorrow morning to let me know, or sending a note early if that suits you better — I am all the better for a day in bed — I slept endlessly and got rested.
Good luck with Blanchette!7
All my love, Beloved.

Good luck with Blanchette! Colette had accepted a part in Eugene Brieux’s play Blanchette. The following month, when BR was sentenced to prison, Colette was successful in being released from her commitment so she could vacation with BR before he entered prison (16 Feb. 1918; BRACERS 113129).
