"My Beloved—Your dear dear letter this morning is an unspeakable joy—it was happy at the studio—"

My Beloved
Your dear dear letter3 this morning is an unspeakable joy — It was happy at the Studio4 — I felt very very near you — and filled full of love — I do hope we shan’t grow so far apart ever again — It was awful — I am still feeling battered from the effects of it, but absolutely happy now — I wish I needn’t have said so many horrid things, but nothing would ever have come right if I hadn’t.
It was not anything you told me about Maurice5 that made me feel what I did about him, but what I knew already — Your talking about him helped to make him human and real to me — but did not quite overcome the former impression.
My dear one, you have been wonderful in the power of love by which you have conquered my bad humours. I love you my Heart — my tender thoughts are with you every moment. Goodbye my Beloved —
