My loved Darling
The wonderful happiness of yesterday evening has remained with me, a glow of warmth in my heart — My beautiful one, I cannot tell you how happy I was — and still am — I bless you every moment for all you are to me —
I will come tomorrow about seven — then we can have a walk before dinner if it is fine.
I hope you are not ill today — I felt afraid you had caught a chill in the Park.3
Great things are happening in the world of Labour — there is a chance of a real peace movement at last. The engineers’ strike4 is in some degree due to the new spirit. There will be an important occasion at Leeds on June 3,5 that I shall want to go to if possible.
Goodbye till tomorrow my Angel — you have filled me full of joy.
