My Darling

Your dear telegram just come. I couldn’t make it out at first and thought you said “please talk to me soon”. I do think it would be better to meet and talk, on Monday if you can. It is not right not to talk. But as you wish. I feel much better here — the country soothes one. Your goodness is so wonderful — it fills me with shame.

I won’t write more — I have no time. I don’t see the future. But I should like to talk calmly with you before talking to Mrs W. if you think it not a bad plan. My deep deep love will be with you as long as I live.

Your
B
