My Darling Darling
Your little letter from Paris has just reached me — it is no use writing now, but I must write one word of joy — I will be with you at 9. At last I can really believe I shall see you again. Some tense chord has snapped and I feel the real reality of it. I can hardly let myself think of holding you in my arms once more and hearing your voice and kissing your dear dear eyes — It is only 24 hours yet it seems a hundred years — O’ my loved one my Ottoline my soul is yours. I love you love you love you — it has been hell to be without you all this time — Will there really be peace once more when we meet? Life is so hard without you, and I get so frozen — Darling be good to me even though I am such a feeble creature in many ways — I do love you most deeply and truly — I have lived in a strange dream since you went away. I feel I have hurt you — I am sorry — Goodnight my Darling Darling.
I shall be in from 5 o’clock on except while I am dining, in case you want to send round a note.
