My Darling
No letter from you today, which is sad. I suppose you have been too busy packing, preparing for your move and P’s departure. I wonder if you are having it as hot as it is here — it is delicious.
Nothing has happened to me except more work. It engrosses me more and more. Even Nostromo seems unexciting in comparison. I have now written 225 pages so I am getting on. I have got into a host of new very interesting problems — quite untouched so far — I can’t do more than make it clear what the problems are — it will take time to get them solved — I mean longer than my life-time. It is a new region become scientific, which pleases me.
I hope you go on feeling better. I shall be interested to hear more of the nerve man and his exercises. — My head is quite empty except for work so I must stop. All my thoughts are full of love always Darling and of happiness in all you are and give.
