My Darling
I have only time for a line before my people turn up, as I am expecting E.M. Forster and perhaps Dickinson earlier than the usual time. I had a very pleasant walk with Dickinson — the weather was lovely and the trees still have autumn leaves. He talked a good deal about Roger, without saying anything much about him, except that he had seen him lately and that Roger was planning an exhibition of his things. I disbelieve in Dickinson being unfriendly to you, and in any case I think it a pity he should not see you. If I were you I wouldn’t be afraid of asking him if you feel so disposed. — My lecture went off all right. It was on infinity — I hope you are less tired. I am longing for tomorrow — Oh it is such joy to be with you —Goodbye.
Your
B.
