My Darling
This is merely a line to say I am going to Marlborough for the day to see the Whiteheads. I didn’t get a letter by 1st post from you, but I shall find a letter when I come back I hope. The enclosed from my aunt Mrs Rollo (Joachim’s niece and sister of Harold Joachim whose Spinoza you noticed in my shelves) is very characteristic. She has a new fad every time I see her — they are all pure self-indulgence, because she never does anything for the various things she gets interested in. I shall go and hear her Persian Friday night and sleep in London.
Hilda Lessways has come from Mudie’s3 — a thousand thanks. I have begun it at breakfast this morning.
I should think you would rejoice to be in a real place like Prag instead of a place full of useless people seeking health when most of them would be better dead. Prag must be full of interest — not of bugs too, I hope.
It is time to stop if I am to catch the 10.25 at Reading. Goodbye Darling. I will write again later.
Your Loving
