My Darling
I have only a moment before the post but I must try to get a letter to Marienbad before me. I have finished the book, written a rather long chapter on Freedom and Necessity, and added a page on Justice. I had just finished my chapter when your dear letter came — thank you for it Darling. I am sorry you were so tired but not surprised. I have a sense of lightness from having finished my writing — also a certain emptiness. I shouldn’t know what to do with my time if I were staying here.
Darling I count the hours till Thursday 5 o’clock. I do hope you won’t be utterly knocked up by the journey. The Ostend Vienna express is less tiring than most trains.
Dearest I am filled with reverence in the thought of our love — is an infinite tenderness — Goodbye my Life.
Your
B
