My Dearest Dearest

I have such a longing for you that I must write altho’ I ought to be working. I can hardly wait for tomorrow. I shall feel happier when your party is over — I am afraid you will be very tired and Londonified by it. You certainly ought to live in the country if it is at all possible — you become so worn out in London. — Yes Darling we must read the Symposium next time I come to the country — it is extraordinarily beautiful and what one wants. O my Dearest, I do long to be with you. I get on very well for a time, keeping myself busy, and then I get so hungry for you that I don’t know how to go on another moment without you. I do try hard to be very reasonable and to keep all my interests alive, because I must in order to fill the intervals — and then suddenly they drop off me, and seem of no account. You do fill my life, Darling, in the most extraordinary way. I live for you only — everything I do is done with the thought of you in my mind, and to make our love richer and better and deeper day by day.

Later. I enclose Oliver’s letter. Bob Trevy supports my going there this week-end, which suits me very well. I might go to my Aunt Agatha on Monday for a night if you have no better suggestion.

Today I had a walk with Geach, and spent some time consoling North, who had a small exam in which he did slightly less well than might have been expected. My lazy Russian just missed getting a First — entirely owing to laziness.

Now people are coming and I must stop. Goodbye till tomorrow my Dearest Heart. I love you I love you.

Yours utterly
B.
