Thursday night
My Darling
I have only a few moments before my people come, just to say I have had both letter and telegram, and I will be at the Brit. Mus. 11.35. Don’t go upstairs or to any very remote room, ora I may be ages finding you. Ib could get a room at some other hotel, say Hotel Russell (isn’t it?) in Russell Square, and we could go there, if you have not arranged with Miss Sands, otherwise Miss Sands’ will do very well. Darling I long to see you. It is a pity about Monday. But I will stay as late as you are free. I suppose you are only free till dinner-time. Just as well to get your little Lamb cleared out before the 5th. You say 4th, but it is the 5th, isn’t it?
This letter is quite as affairé as yours. Now I must post it. Goodbye till tomorrow Darling. The last few hours are difficult to get through. Goodbye my heart.
Your
B.
