Thank you very much for your birthday letter with its delightful Chinoiseries. It was most kind of you to write and I am very happy to have your message and wishes for me.
Edith and I think and talk of you often and wish very much that we could do something that would make these days easier for you and Michelangelo, but we seem to be helpless. All that we can do is to send you our love, which you have always, and our warmest good wishes.
