Jordan Musycsyn sent an image of the letter to the BRS Treasurer, Landon Elkind: "There's a letter that's written to Mrs May, the mother of Elizabeth May (leader of Canada's Green party) the letter entails Bertrands thoughts about the Democratic convention is 1968. The letter is signed. There is also a signature in the book. I'll include pictures of all these things. I was gifted the book by Mr May about 15 years ago. It was a gift for helping him chop wood and tidy his house."

Dear Stephanie May,
Thank you for your long report from Chicago of the Democratic Convention. It was both interesting and illuminating. It seems that Americans are to have a “choice” in November of Nixon, Humphrey or Wallace.
I have deliberately refrained from supporting either Robert Kennedy or McCarthy, because there seemed to me to be nothing in their public record which would prevent them on taking office from going the same way as Lyndon Johnson after his victory as peace candidate over Goldwater.
With all good wishes,
Yours sincerely,
