Dear Rupert,
Here is a provisional list of guests for the dinner which Edith and I drew up last Sunday. The so-called Second List is the list of reserves, who will be invited if people on the First List refuse. It is not set out in order of preference. I should be glad to have your views about both lists, and also about the Possible Distinguished Outsiders. My own feeling is faintly against having these but I have no strong view.
