Dear Mr. Lavin1
There is a Journal of the History of Ideas, edited by a man with a name very similar to yours, who is a Professor (I think) somewhere in New York. You might find it worth while to get in touch with him.
As for me, I lecture at Cambridge, two lectures every Thursday in term time. The first of my lectures in the autumn will be on Oct. 14. I give two courses, one on non-demonstrative inference, the other an introduction to philosophy. The rest of the week I live in London. If you cared to come to Cambridge you could come to my lectures, and I could give you some time privately in addition on Thursdays.
If you have a degree you could become an advanced student. If you have not yet got your degree, you had better get it first.
Yours very sincerely
Bertrand Russell.
