Dear Mr. Bramble,
I regret to say that I cannot add much in the way of biographical details to what you can find in Who’s Who. The only thing I could think of that would interest you is the fact that I run a school for children born between the years 1920 and 1926, both included. There are at present twenty children in this school, and our hope and intention is to keep the existing children as they grow older, adding perhaps a few to their number this coming autumn, but none or almost none later. We attempt in the school to carry out the principles indicated in my book on education, and up to date I am very well satisfied with our success. Initiative and intelligence are cultivated by avoiding unnecessary repressions and inhibitions. I enclose a prospectus. My own two children are at this school, and one of my reasons for starting it was that I didn’t see how else to give my children the sort of education I wished them to have.
Yours very sincerely,
<signed> Bertrand Russell.
