BR TO H.N. BRAILSFORD, 24 MAY 1952
BRACERS 11843. ALD. McMaster. Russell 15 (1995): 49
Edited by K. Blackwell
Thank you for your letter of May 19. I owe much to you. Your review3 of my Social Reconstruction encouraged me more than any other at a time when I very much needed encouragement. I caused fury in Cambridge by quoting from your War of Steel and Gold4 a passage showing how much parsons and such were making out of armaments.5 The fury was of a sort which I was glad to cause. I am very glad you have liked my recent broadcasts. Please convey my thanks to Mrs Brailsford as well as to yourself.
Yours ever,
