Coward, Chance & Co. inform BR they have heard Rowe & Maw have sent instructions to counsel to settle a draft of the deed of separation. "We enclose a copy of these instructions, the left hand column of which you will see sets out the heads of agreement to which you have already agreed. The right hand column contains certain suggestions and alterations made by Rowe & Maw on behalf of Lady Russell which will have, if considered reasonable, to be incorporated in the draft of deed" (instructions are not present).

Coward has also enclosed (document .133458, record 115453) Rowe & Maw's letter to them, which was also sent to the counsel, raising Dora's concerns about the future of John and Kate after BR's death.
