Dear Mr. Farr1
My wife and son have sailed for England, and I sail in a few days. I am writing to thank you for your kindness in housing our goods until happier times, and to enclose some keys which will be needed whenever it becomes possible to have our crates and boxes sent off. My oldera son is in the British navy, my daughter is returning this summer — so we are all bidding farewell to America. We have encountered much kindness in your country, not least from you and Mrs. Farr.
With much gratitude
Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.
My address in England will be
Trinity College
Cambridge
