Dear Miss Kohler
Thank you for your letter of October 24. I am sorry that at the moment the work I have already undertaken makes it impossible for me to promise an article in the near future. In any case, I am not sure that I wish to say what I think of Shaw, as he is a personal friend, but his opinions seem to me largely both foolish and pernicious. If he were dead, and could no longer be hurt, I should feel differently.
