"... I am not sure that I wish to say what I think of Shaw, as he is a personal friend, but his opinions seem to be largely both foolish and pernicious." Perhaps when Shaw is dead BR will write it.

The work that BR has "already undertaken makes it impossible for me to promise an article in the near future."

Dear Miss Kohler

Thank you for your letter of October 24. I am sorry that at the moment the work I have already undertaken makes it impossible for me to promise an article in the near future. In any case, I am not sure that I wish to say what I think of Shaw, as he is a personal friend, but his opinions seem to me largely both foolish and pernicious. If he were dead, and could no longer be hurt, I should feel differently.

Yours very sincerely
Bertrand Russell
