Dear John
It was good of you to ring me up last night — you sounded as if you had been having a bad experience you couldn’t talk about. I will go to Cambridge by the last train, but will dine with you and Pam first.
Could you come to Cambridge next week-end? I could put you up in College. I hope you can. I don’t like to think of you in London just now. Come if you possibly can. Much love from us both.
