Dear John1
Your good letter of March 6 was a great pleasure to get. I am glad you have seen Cousin Claud and Lucy Silcox and Gilbert Murray. Lucy Silcox wrote about you, and evidently liked you very much.
I haven’t time for a Gibbonian disquisition and must confine myself to news. I shall sail in May or June, and count on getting home before you are sent to the Far East or wherever it may be. Kate will come soon after me. Peter and Conrad will come when they can, probably Sep. or Oct. Please tell these facts to anybody they concern. I propose to live at Cambridge, but at first I shall be in London for a bit.
Goodbye dear John. It will be a great happiness to see you again.
Yrs aff father
Bertrand Russell
