Dear Miss Fish1

It is a very good thing you came to see me yesterday. I hope when Colette is rested you will be able to make her less unhappy. I enclose a letter which please read, and let me know if you think it suitable. I am here till Wed. morning, then FESTINIOG, N. Wales. The telegram signed “Russell” was sent from here, but by the hotel people. I am worried by the possibility of detectives on my track.

I shall hope to do more later in the way of money, but I can’t manage more at the moment.

I am grateful to you.

Yours very sincerely
Russell.
