Dora mentions that she wrote to BR, "... in reply to two points raised in your letter, as to the school being a 'new' school if I should move, and as to my alleged previous 'neglect' of John and Kate. Bertie has replied to me on both these points in a reassuring manner, and I hope that they will not arise again. It is essential that Bertie and I should continue to regard one another as responsible parents, or co-operation will be very difficult."

Dora goes on to discuss the terms of Beacon Hill School and John and Kate's education.
