Dear Mr. Liveright
I have received your letter of November 27. Yes, I had quite understood that the new book should be one of not less than 70,000 words. If by any chance I should wish to write a shorter book, we may regard the correspondence we have had as not binding on either party; it is therefore understood by me that our mutual agreement is only applicable to what you call a “full length book,”a i.e. a book not under 70,000 words. I shall look forward to seeing you whenever you do get to England.
All best wishes,
Yours sincerely
<signed> Bertrand Russell.
