Received Peter's long letter today.  Reiterates how pleased he is with the election results and how much hope it has given to him and many others.

Blake talks about the atomic bomb, saying it is "as 'cute' a little gadget as has come our way in a long while. It is so horrible...." He hopes that it will not be used, but that if it is at least it might be a humane weapon, unlike all the people he sees there crippled by the war.

Blake thanks Peter for inviting Martha.
