Blake asks about the results of the recent UK elections with some comments on the results. He reports on the state of Germany, including the town of Kassel, which was flattened in a bombing mission in 1943, and how people are slowly rebuilding. Much of his letter discusses the growth of Communist forces in Germany and how difficult a time the US forces are having dealing with the political aspect of occupation.
