Karlin asks BR for help so that her son and his wife and daughter may join her in the U.S. from the USSR. She describes the tragedy she has faced since eighteen of her family members were killed by Nazis in the ghetto of Riga, Latvia. This is her only remaining family whom she hopes to see. She has already sent the necessary documents to her son.
