Notes and topics
Not a letter but a tearsheet from The New Yorker with a "Notes and Comment" column on BR. The column relates the anecdote of a woman who called BR "the world's oldest atheist" at his 90th birthday dinner, and asked him what he would say to God if, in the end that matters, he was wrong in his atheistic views; to which BR replied, "'Why, I should say, 'God, you gave us insufficient evidence!''"
