Wiesenthal seeks BR's response to The Sunflower, a project that was intended to incorporate opinions from a number of prominent intellectuals on whether Wiesenthal should have forgiven a dying S.S. man. In Tom Segev's Simon Wiesenthal: the Life and Legends (Random House, 2010), p. 236, it is stated: "Bertrand Russell's secretary sent a postcard: he received so many such requests that it was impossible to agree to them all." This is consistent with the notation "Card: no" in Farley's hand on the letter.
