BR approves the letters of 28 Sept. 1911 and 3 Jan. 1912 for the edition of Lady Ottoline's correspondence, but not the letters about Russia. "These were not personal letters to your mother, but were sent to various people."

The edition of Ottoline's correspondence did not reach publication. The letters he wrote her are not in her Early Memoirs, although others are quoted from on p. 255. Pp. 266–71 quote the first pages of BR's then unpublsihed autobiography, vol. 2.
