This transcription of document .049189 consists of two typed copies of the letter, including a carbon. There is much handwriting on both copies, by BR on the carbon copy, and another hand on the second. The typist clearly had great difficulty in deciphering Dickinson's hand, despite taking shorthand dictation for it.
