Hamburger thanks Schoenman for his letter (see record 69453), and informs him that the West German authorities have approved a permit for his son. Hamburger encloses a copy of the letter he received from the West German authorities:
Document .180766, TLS(X). The letter is in German and is from the West German Bundesverwaltungsamt. The letter informs Hamburger that a permit has been approved for his son, and that the Red Cross in Hamburg has been advised of the decision. An English translation, in an unknown hand, appears at the foot of the page.
