Re Blyth's paper on the logic of verbs. "I enjoyed your examples of faulty sentences such as 'She departed in tears in a taxi'. Verbs present problems which have interested me for a very long time, beginning with a chapter in the Principles of Mathematics called 'Proper Names, Adjectives and Verbs' which now seems to me very naive. I think my chief difference from your outlook is that I do not consider a process as a unity but, like the notes of a tune, a series of separate occurrences."
