Notes and topics

BR is "deeply troubled" with the prospects for mankind in view of the hydrogen bomb. BR has "a profound desire to do whatever it lies in my power to awake people to the gravity of the issue." In his recent book Human Society in Ethics and Politics BR states his perspective on the H-bomb in his final chapter "Prologue or Epilogue?". He asks Lewin to consider it for broadcast and encloses a copy of it (not present) with his letter.

A handwritten note by Lewin on the top of the page asks Boyd, "Would [?] take anything from Russell on this theme?".
