Menzies, a producer from the North American Service, asks BR to contribute to a programme hosted by Edward R. Murrow of CBS, called "This I Believe". It presents "the personal philosophies of thoughtful men and women in all walks of life." A second set of British contributors is being considered. Menzies encloses (not present) copies of earlier scripts in the series.
