"Wed. evening" Good if Alys goes on school-board. Send as many documents as she likes to Edith Thomas. Maud's deplorable home-life. Encloses letter to Maud's Miss Young [not there, filed with #17]. Loves Alys more and more, "but calmly and purely thanks to our wonderful discovery".

"8.30 a.m." Distressed reference to enclosed must be to Granny's letter of 29.8.94. Send telegram yes or no on enclosed. Will stay here at least until day after tomorrow.
