Notes and topics

"Sunday evg."

Gave classical don Stuart 'Forstice' to read. BR really admired La Nouvelle Révue Française. Göttingen is thinking of asking BR to lecture there next year.

"Hilbert ... has grown interested in Whitehead's and my work."

"Last June I hoped I was doing well, and then Wittgenstein reduced me to despair again. But this time I am sure I have done well. Worry about work colours all one's thoughts and feelings about everything, and takes the joy out of life. I know Wittgenstein would like the work I have done lately."
