He finds it hard to imagine minds less clear than his own, and so he thinks people dishonest when they are only confused. You would hardly believe your ears if you heard the things I say to him on the importance of not misjudging people whose thoughts are vague: he is not morbid just now, but he may become so at any moment. It is purely a question of fatigue I think. He takes more exercise than he did, which is good."
