Notes and topics

"Thursday aftn." "Somebody had been telling them [Lytton, Shove and Sheppard] about Wittgenstein and they wanted to hear what I thought of him. They were thinking of electing him to the Society. I told them I didn't think he would like the Society. I am quite sure he wouldn't really. It would seem to him stuffy, as indeed it has become, owing to their practice of being in love with each other, which didn't exist in my day—I think it is mainly due to Lytton."
