The letter concerns Mrs. M. Edwards, a member of the Plas Penrhyn domestic staff. BR had agreed to pay her a net wage and to pay to Inland Revenue the tax on that wage. But the tax is much higher than BR supposed because Edwards has other income. Felton sets our alternative courses of action.
He refers to BR's letter of 1969/09/16, but there seems to be no letter of that date from BR to Felton.
