Debrett's have omitted all reference to Harriet since 1964, "but only on the understanding that we are pursuing steps to have the Birth Certificate amended". The editor asks what progress has been made.

Lucas suggests that BR take a blood test to prove he is not Harriet Ward's father. A negative blood test is all that is needed. Otherwise BR does not stand a chance of proving that he was not nearby when she was conceived. BR evidently maintained that he was in the US at the time.
