"... B. makes fun of royalty, still he is quite happy about it when he is asked to take the Queen around the place at BBC. The request came through when I was there in February, and he made fun of how comme il faut and respectable he had become—and I think it is quite funny too—but I am sure he made an effort and gave her a jolly good time—and he loved it when he got his Nobel Prize and the Swedish King sent for him and asked his opinions on this that and the other—politics only to be sure!
